About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced, NYC-based Senior Producer to join our Branded Content department. The branded content team creates relevant and exciting stories for the Bleacher/Report audience, in partnership with brands. 

The Branded Content team will be tasked with bringing the industry-leading voice and distribution strategy to brand partners. The Branded Content studio will work with brands to concept video, text, interactive and live events platforms and then execute the ideas with internal and external partners.

The Senior Producer is responsible for directing and/or producing top-level productions as well as managing and mentoring junior producers on the team. Senior Producer will also assist the Supervising Producer in identifying new storytelling trends and elevating content capabilities of the Branded Content Team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Direct and/or produce top-level productions
  • Efficiently manage and mentor other producers on the Branded Content Team

About The Role:

Bleacher Report has been a trusted source of sports information, entertainment, and culture for many years. Our branded content team creates experiences that reflect and celebrate the sports fan’s experience in partnership with brands. We are seeking a Supervising Producer (Story) to manage and shape our stories through their setup and delivery.  You will be expected to elevate our stories and capabilities, direct and improve our post-production systems, drive deadlines for delivery across multiple projects, and handle a large workflow, managing multiple editors in the pressure of the digital production and advertising world. This is a senior position that requires an expert knowledge of the entire post-production process. You must be able to manage simultaneous projects, and your approach to the process must be detail-oriented, organizing large amounts of information, assets, and data. This position requires the highest level of professionalism, with the ability to work closely with Bleacher Report staff through professional communication and etiquette. You will also be responsible for driving high standards for the content B/R creates—supervising edits and delivering both short-form and long-form content, as well as any other new formats we engage with in the future.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the performance of editors, creative development, and story development.
  • Drive and elevate Bleacher Report's film-making capabilities.
  • Produce marketing materials, including but not limited to sizzles, promos, and recaps.
  • Create and Track budgets for all post-production procedures.
  • Establish, refine and/or implement post-production processes to streamline work.
  • Work with Executive Producer as needed to ensure resources are available and work is completed in a timely fashion.
  • Make recommendations and inform decisions around technical and application enhancements to grow the quality of the product.
  • Work with design, edit, and production counterparts to establish a creative style guide for all video, and ensure that editors are adhering to style guide on all projects.
  • Strong experience in building, designing and implementing edit process in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
  • Specialist in Premiere & Adobe’s family of post-production applications. Digital video background, solid understanding of digital production.
  • Comprehensive understanding of capabilities and limitations of web technologies.

  • Keeping video files organized and up-to-date

As part of our Premium Content Edit team, you will work on a variety of longer form projects-- series, documentaries, features, sizzles, internal promotional videos and social media. The Premium Content team focuses on high end original content that resonates with millennial sports fans. Bleacher Report Video is on the cutting edge of the sports and entertainment industries so we’ll be asking you to push your creative boundaries. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Primary focus to start will be to act as a series editor. You will contribute to the development and launch of a new project as the lead editor on of a  longform series of 10-15 minute videos of athlete interviews with our B/R host. Must be able to to bring a long form sensibility and an understanding of narrative storytelling and pacing in order to create a compelling series that  emotionally resonates with the audience

  • Ability to creatively use archival footage, photographs and music to enhance interviews and add visually appealing elements for web-optimized content

  • Where direction is provided be able to follow scripts and storyboards, while also being able be proactive and create stories and sequences on your own 

  • Must understand that editing for the internet and the B/R app is different than editing for traditional media

  • Will also edit a wide range of long form videos telling focusing on storytelling that can be documentary, narrative, or interview based

  • Must be comfortable editing multi-camera studio and field shoots

  • Ability to edit different versions of a source video with each version being optimized for the social platform destination

  • Ability to adapt to changes in production plan/schedules

  • Ability to work evenings and weekends when needed

  • Ability to help, mentor, and collaborate with other members of the edit staff and the production team as needed 

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.

  • 5+ years of long form editing in a professional environment

  • Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro, proficient in Adobe Photoshop and After Effects

  • Proficient in color correction, audio mixing and mixdowns

  • Great communication skills - be able to give and receive critical feedback in a team environment

  • Knowledge of the major sports is beneficial but not required

About the role:
 
Our Social Stories team finds interesting stories, researches those topics, and creates compelling short-form video content around unique sports, athletes and events. This position will focus on mainstream sports, sports culture, inspirational/human-interest stories and a variety of other sports, events and trends for custom social videos.

During this internship, you will help the team research content, monitor social media, compile assets and publish content. Other responsibilities would include administering story databases and content planning, assisting the editorial staff in new story idea generation, and conducting editorial and video research. Overall, we want this intern to dig into what’s happening in the social world of sports. You'll also be in a role that allows you to work with multiple teams at B/R.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in researching content ideas
  • Compile video and photo assets
  • Get content QC'd and published to CMS
  • Keep databases up to date for all content posted to B/R's social platforms

The Social Stories team is looking for an experienced, dedicated NYC-based Producer to create videos for our social channels that cover a variety of sports as well as sports culture. We work in a fast-paced, 24-7 field in a laid-back environment. You'll also be in a role that allows you to work with multiple groups and networks. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Pitch, plan and produce multiple videos each week for B/R’s social platforms

About the Role:

The VIdeo Production and Technology team at Bleacher Report is seeking an intern to assist its department for the summer of 2019. The VIdeo Production and Technology team is a busy shared service group inside of B/R that supports content, marketing, and operations teams with studio/field production needs, event technology support, highlight editing, and media asset preparation. 

The summer intern position will be heavily involved in all aspects of the VP&T daily operation. The intern will work at our busy NY office in a studio environment and also take part in assisting for events/shoots locally in the field


Responsibilities: 

Our intern will directly assist in the three main disciplines of the Video Production and Technology Team. These areas are Video Production, AV Technology support, and Media Management.  The intern will rotate shifts in these different disciplines throughout the internship experience. 

Tasks will include:

Production:

  • Help production staff setup studio spaces for shoots
  • Act as PA on studio and field shoots
  • Assist in the equipment checkout process for all field production shoots
  • Assist/learn the control room process for production
  • Work on podcast production

AV Tech:

  • Assist with setup of all internal and external video and tech events
  • Learn how the NY office av setup is wired

Media Management:

  • Work in the ingest room to learn daily ingest process from studio
  • Learn media asset management system and tag video content for editing
  • Learn archiving system for historical content
  • Help manage media drive requests for content group

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of college experience
  • An interest in working in a fast paced video production/ live events environment
  • A flexible schedule (sometimes our productions/events run after hours).
  • A team player that is willing to do anything to support a large production team. 
  • Any production experience in college or former internship experience a plus
