About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen to join Bleacher Report Football for a summer internship in their office in London.We are looking to hire a talented graphic design student to join our team and contribute to our design output over a busy period which will include the Women’s World Cup, Copa America, African Cup of Nations and summer transfer market.

The role will put the intern into the heart of our team and provide the opportunity to sharpen skills and learn from one of the most successful and fast-paced sports media teams on social.

As the House of Highlights team continues to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated summer intern that can assist with general business operations and project-based tasks to help the brand blow up.

The intern will have a variety of responsibilities spanning Revenue/Strategy, Business Operations, Production, Community Management and Development, Grassroots Marketing and Communications. Responsibilities:

  • Create original Photoshopped design images for use on social channels
  • Manipulate pictures for banners and templates
  • Contribute to team brainstorms and help generate content ideas
  • Help organise our content database of image resources and contribute towards it


The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Photoshop proficiency essential, including good photo manipulation skills
  • Knowledge of the rest of the Adobe Suite would be an advantage (particularly Illustrator and/or After Effects)

Required skills...

  • Proficiency in Android app development, with experience using Android SDK and deep understanding of android development. Minimum 6+ years experience

  • Willingness to lead initiatives and a catalyst for change throughout the whole organization

How you’ll build it...

We primarily develop in Swift, while supporting some core functionality that’s still in Objective-C. We are not afraid to include new OS features in our apps, and support the current and prior version of iOS (n-1). We work closely with the engineers writing and maintaining our custom web services when building new features or refactoring old ones. We discuss approaches to problems early and often, review each other’s code, and are open to suggestions.

Required skills...

  • Proficiency in iOS app development, with a strong knowledge of Cocoa Touch and related frameworks. Minimum 5+ years of experience. 
  • Proficiency in Swift, with a desire to continue learning the ins and outs of the language as it evolves.
  • Strong understanding of ARC (Automatic Reference Counting).
