Associate Producer / Researcher (Contract Position)

Associate Producer / Researcher (Contract Position)

We are looking for an experienced, Las Vegas-based Associate Producer to join a new BR department opening at Caesars Palace. The B/R x Caesars team will be tasked executing content involving socializing, generalizing and gamifying sports betting culture.

The Associate Producer is responsible for supporting producers from pre-production through post and generally supporting the creative team and production manager. Another key role for the AP will be researching and fact checking game show components and segments for weekly series being created from the new Caesars studio. The AP will also be in the field / studio for shoots, and coordinate across departments to ensure deliverables and materials are being managed properly.

This position is an initial 2 year contract position with the potential to extend.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Compiling sports betting research and fact-checking game show components

  • Organizing and tracking projects in pre- and post-production 

  • Taking detailed notes in writers rooms and production meetings

  • Maintaining department-wide documents

  • Scheduling department and cross-departmental meetings

  • Supporting Producers through all aspects of production, including crews, catering, casting, props and talent

  • Acting as an AP and coordinator for field shoots

  • Tracking and managing deliverables in a post-production capacity

Qualifications:

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced, Head Writer/Producer to join our Premium content team to lead a group of writers/producers around our new content partnership with Caesars. 

The B/R x Caesars creative team will be tasked with writing, creating and executing content involving socializing, generalizing and gamifying sports betting culture. This head writer will lead a small team of other writers/producers to help develop concepts for game shows and live football shows emanating from a state-of-the-art studio being built at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

This team-player is responsible for directing and/or producing top-level productions as well as managing and mentoring junior writer/producers on the team. The Head Writer/producer will also assist the Executive Producer/showrunner in identifying new storytelling trends and elevating content capabilities of the Caesars content team

This position is an initial 2 year contract position with the potential to extend.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with Exec Producer/Showrunner to develop, write, and direct and produce show executions, segments and videos.
  • Oversees day-to-day operations to implement the overall content vision as established by the EP/showrunner

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to join our Premium content team to manage and coordinate our video production efforts in a new content partnership with Caesars in Las Vegas. 

The B/R x Caesars team will be tasked executing content involving socializing, generalizing and gamifying sports betting culture. This production manager will be the direct contact with our production company scheduling and coordinating shoots happening on a weekly basis, while working with our creative team to make sure the department vision is being carried through onset. The PM will be in charge of tracking and maintaining a department budget spanning multiple different shows, coordinating with Caesars facilities teams and working with a lead technician on the maintenance and upkeep of a state-of-the-art studio being built at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. This team-player will also manage and mentor junior APs and production staff, and help maintain the BR office location in Las Vegas.

This position is an initial 2 year contract position with the potential to extend.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with Exec Producer/Showrunner and Creative team on production needs from creative approval to final edit
  • Direct contact with production company and edit team to ensure proper staffing and scheduling
  • Track and maintain department wide budget, involving multiple show executions on varying scales, including bi-weekly status updates for company-wide visibility
  • Create relationships with vendors and outside resources for creation of props and casting on a weekly basis

A Content Programmer 1 is responsible for finding engaging sports betting content for B/R’s mobile app and website. They are in tasked with covering breaking news, sending push notifications and curating content. 

This position will based out of Las Vegas, Nevada as an initial 2-year contract position, with potential extension.

About the Role:

The Senior AV Technician will play an integral role in the video production process for our content operations team located in Las Vegas. The B/R x Caesars team will be tasked executing content involving socializing, generalizing and gamifying sports betting culture.  This position will be the point person for all audio/visual technology and IT based technology support at our Live Production Studio/Control room and edit offices located in Caesars Palace. 

This position is an initial 2 year contract position with the potential to extend.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains all internal production workflows

  • Understands wiring and functionality of all control room equipment, including video hubs, converters, switchers, graphics machines, playout machines, and audio IFB/ PL wireless workflows

  • Partners with on-site content creation production group to develop efficient AV/Engineering workflow processes for studio and field production

  • Works closely with editors and graphic artists to develop efficient workflow/engineering process for nearline storage, NAS systems, and file transfer process from a hardware perspective

  • Sets up and monitors all live streaming to OTT platforms and social distribution platforms

  • Works with the internal programming team on sending video to the correct live stream destinations

  • Troubleshoots wiring of studio cameras, set monitors, audio, lighting and ethernet connections on set or in production spaces

  • 5-10 years production experience with a minimum of 5 years working in a control room environment

This Social Moments Senior Manager (Tactical) will lead a team of producers, designers & content creators. Position Overview: 

Bleacher Report is seeking a programmer who will work to curate content from multiple sources to post on our social accounts. This programmer will primarily be responsible for packaging and distributing various types of social content while helping inform and set strategy. 

This programmer will be focused on curating and posting news, social content and B/R’s owned and operated and premium content via our Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Instagram Stories and YouTube channels. They will be required to cover live events across all sports and will be asked to assist senior level programmers in creating event distribution plans. An ideal candidate would be described as someone that executes direction well and is diligent with their time management. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is a must. Innovation is a plus when it comes to copy, voice and content packaging. This is a position covering sports in real-time, which requires working a flexible schedule that consists of night shifts and work on weekends.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Video Editor to be an integral part of House of Highlights team, specifically focusing on back-end editing for original content projects. Other responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Assisting the entire video team on story planning, pitch process, and new segments.

  • Performing heavy editing work, compiling notes and doing string outs to guide content through the back end of production.

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced creative Writer / Producer  to join our Premium content team in writing and producing video in a new content partnership with Caesars in Las Vegas.  The B/R x Caesars team will be tasked executing content involving socializing, generalizing and gamifying sports betting culture. 

The writer/producer role will be charged with helping to develop current and new concepts around our game shows and live shows emanating from the B/R studio in Caesars Palace. They will work weekly to write/produce sports based shows and segments in coordination with the existing host/talent within the framework of the overall creative vision set by the Executive Producer/Showrunner. They will produce or direct segments or parts of shows/remote shoots in and around Vegas and various Caesars properties. This position reports to the Head Writer/Producer and is based out of Las Vegas.

This position is an initial 2 year contract position with the potential to extend.

Major duties and responsibilities:

  • Create content ideas and concepts, including serialized web content, comedy and long-form ideas with potential experiential components
  • Take creative risks to strengthen ability to concept each project
  • Write scripts for all different content categories
  • Contribute and write program content that maintains the desired creative vision and "look and feel" 
  • May interact with other departments on key initiatives
  • Research, write and work with QC to fact check questions for our game shows
  • Work closely with other writers/researches to bolster and support all of our creative
  • Produce segments and/or potentially direct portions of our creative from studio productions to remote pre-produced pieces.
  • Source, identify, and coordinate with vendors regarding casting, props, graphics, and scenic on creative ideas

Work experience:

  • Must have at least 3 years of tv/digital creative experience

  • 3 years experience as a producer, in the field and in post production, with the ability to serve as post producer on projects

  • Strong time management skills, and an ability to self start
  • Experience working with sport and youth-focused brands

  • Immersed in social media culture and fluent in language of the memes of the day

  • Some knowledge of common betting terminology preferred

  • Experience with conceiving of video series, writing scripts or beat sheets, and providing feedback on cuts

About the Role:

As the House of Highlights team continues to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated summer intern that can assist with general business operations and project-based tasks to help the brand blow up.

The intern will have a variety of responsibilities spanning Revenue/Strategy, Business Operations, Production, Community Management and Development, Grassroots Marketing and Communications. This is an unrivaled opportunity for general business exposure at one of the fastest growing and most popular social media brands in the world. Responsibilities:

This as a general business operations role which would include responsibilities spanning several core groups, including:

Revenue Strategy/Development/Operations

  • Weekly competitive tracking and industry updates
  • Assist in refreshing HoH sales/brand materials, flagging needs for analytics updates, imagery and case-studies as needed
  • Develop HoH image and asset repository
  • Coordinate asset and materials development with producers
  • Assist the Manager and Director with the preparation of sales presentations
  • Support activity around new revenue streams 
  • Assist in the development of TBD Sub-Brand initiatives

Business Operations

  • Identify opportunities for HoH growth based on analysis of marketplace, competitors, etc
  • Create standardized templates for business processes
  • Meeting management and coordination
  • Assist in “operationalizing” several aspects of new sub-brand initiatives

Community Management & Development 

  • Responding to DM’s on behalf of HoH and compiling audience info
  • Energizing the HoH Community (followers) and based on their knowledge of Gen Z social behaviors
  • Closely monitoring and tracking key engagements, trends, celebrity interactions, etc.
  • Closely following YT channel growth and suggest opportunities for growth, optimization, etc
  • Facilitating merch/swag giveaways
  • Developing a CRM system/process to track our most engaged and loyal fans and begin to collect data. People that constantly engage, constantly participate in giveaways, purchase HoH gear, etc.
  • Activate at local events that are on-brand and represent the HoH brand with merch/materials

Production

  • Assist with shoot logistics, coordination, correspondence (when necessary)
  • Assist with production timelines and check-ins


The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Deep knowledge and passion for social media (particularly IG and YT)

  • Real familiarity with House of Highlights brand and ethos

  • Passion for sports and community

  • Interest in the business side of sports and general understanding of media

  • Superb organizational and communications skills

  • Experience using Google Software (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms, etc)

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and own projects

  • Experience with data/analytics, particularly turning data into insights and actions

  • Students with a business / sports management background preferred.


Internship dates are from June 3 – August 9, 2019. This is a paid internship and all interns are expected to work 40 hours per week. Prospective interns must be current college students (graduate or undergraduate) or recently graduated (within the last 6 months of the program start date).
